A source table is a physical entity on a .hsm canvas (typically a database table). Use this dialog to name the card, bind it to a catalog source, and declare columns including primary-key order.

General

  • Name — Canvas and catalog identity for this table.

  • Description — Optional business note.

  • Connection / schema / table — Physical location used for preview, harvest, and generated SQL.

  • Catalog source name — Name published as a DV_SOURCE record definition.

Columns

Declare every column the vault will see: name, Hop type, length, precision, and primary-key position. Get fields reads the live database (or file) layout.

Data type mapping

Optional per-table type mapping profile. See Data type mappings.

Preview runs a sample read. Validate checks required identity, PK, and catalog name before publish.
