A junk dimension stores low-cardinality flag combinations. Generated loads use the Junk Dimension transform (Combination Lookup).

Options

  • Source — SQL, pipeline, catalog record, or fact table (distinct flags from a source fact).

  • Surrogate key / hash code — How the combination identity is stored.

  • Attributes — Flag columns that form the combination.
