A source query is a named multi-table projection on a .hsm canvas. It becomes a catalog feed (COMPOSITE or SQL) that hubs, links, and satellites can load.

General

  • Name — Canvas identity and default catalog source name.

  • Driving table — First table in the join graph.

  • Generation mode — AUTO (plugin SQL), SQL (authored), or PIPELINE.

Joins and columns

Ordered joins (inner / left) plus the projected column list. Optional WHERE clause. Use Generate SQL to inspect the composed statement.

Runs the query with project variables (and pipeline parameter defaults when the mode is pipeline-backed).
