The Source model SQL transform runs Free SQL against a .hsm model through the jdbc:hop-hsm: virtualization layer (Calcite). Use it in pipelines when you need ad-hoc SQL over source tables, queries, JSON extractions, or pipeline cards.

Options

  • Source model file — Path to the .hsm.

  • SQL — SELECT against virtual tables named after source-model objects. Residual (non-pushdown) CASE, CAST, and N-arg COALESCE run as the SQL Expression transform; simple + - * / and 2-arg COALESCE/NVL still use Calculator.

  • Preview / Explain — Design-time sample and plan.
