A range dimension (band) maps a numeric or date source value to labelled buckets (age bands, income ranges).

Fields

  • Name / physical table

  • Source field — Value to band on the fact or staging row.

  • Range bands — From/to bounds and labels.

  • Fall-back label — Bucket when the value is null or outside every band.

Facts attach range roles on the fact dialog.
