Workflow action that scans a dbt-core project and writes SQL business tables into .hbv file(s). Use this for CI re-import. Interactive import lives on the Business Vault canvas (Import dbt models).

Settings

  • dbt project folder — contains dbt_project.yml

  • Target .hbv file — model to update (CURRENT_MODEL) or create (NEW_MODEL)

  • Destination — current file, new file, or split by first-level models/ folder

  • Output folder — required for split

  • If table exists — skip or replace

  • Import macros — upsert a Jinja Macro Library from macros/ and vars:

All importable models are selected (incremental → TABLE, ephemeral → VIEW, with warnings in the log). Snapshots and Python models are skipped.
